Start your quoteNew to pet insurance? Start with the basics: what to look for, how our quote works and the details to check before choosing a policy.

Depending on the policy, pet insurance can help with eligible veterinary treatment costs. Check the vet-fee limit, excess, exclusions and waiting periods in the policy documents before buying.
Start with Your pet, then About you and Your cover. Compare plans and monthly or annual prices, review your details and finish your quote to download your documents.
Your price uses your pet’s species, breed or mixed-breed size, pet age, owner age at the preferred start date, and selected cover level and vet-fee limit. Choosing a higher excess (£125 or £200) lowers your price. Medical disclosures do not currently change the calculated price.
Yes. Paying for all 12 months upfront saves 15% compared with 12 monthly payments. Your quote shows both totals and the saving, so you can choose before paying.
Look at what the policy includes and excludes, how its limits apply, the excess and any additional contribution to claims. Previous symptoms or treatment can affect what is covered.
Have your pet’s breed, date of birth and medical history ready, along with your address and contact details.
Yes. Select Edit my details from the quote page. You can change your answers, compare another plan and see an updated price before continuing.
Existing conditions need an insurer’s assessment and may be excluded. The form asks about your pet’s health, but completing a quote does not confirm that previous conditions will be covered.
It is the amount you would prefer to contribute towards a claim. You can choose £75, £125 or £200. A higher excess lowers your price: £125 takes 5% off and £200 takes 10% off. The actual policy excess needs confirmation.
You can download your certificate, policy handbook, product information document and quote summary. Finishing a quote does not start cover or take a payment.
